Today there were 23 contracts auto-traded in Pacific Trading Academy’s POV*account at Striker. They earned a REAL-MONEY PROFIT of $57.50 net of a $20 per contract transaction charge.

We count today as very successful despite the tiny profit. Our first trade was a long taken on good signals but with no follow-through and a sudden drop. Upon exiting, we were down -$7,072.50. This gave us the opportunity to try out our new target-less ATM strategy, “RUNNER” with its Free Trade stop strategy, “2-POINT SAFETY.”

We applied RUNNER to our second trade, a short, which went just far enough to cover costs and create the Free Trade but not much further. Then around 9:30 am PDT, the market revealed its clear intention to rally.

We invoked the RUNNER on the long side. We were able to fully recoup our loss with $57.50 left over. Certainly, we all would have preferred a quick Grand-A-Day. But, getting to see how these new strategies work under real-money conditions was a valuable lesson that will allow us to use them more confidently in the future.
